Starting your day with a smoothie is a great way to get liquid nutrition absorbed into your body quickly to energize you for your day and get your digestive system gently going! This Superfood Smoothie is a great recipe, packed with nutrients from various “superfood” sources. It’s a powerhouse breakfast for your health and it tastes pretty darn good, too!! As always, be sure to use organic as much as possible, especially for the blueberries, raspberries, and the spinach. I like to use coconut water in my smoothies vs a nut milk or coconut milk. It keeps it light and refreshing as well as super hydrating. However, whatever plant-based liquid you choose to add should work well here.
- 1 Avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1 tsp Superfood Greens Powder (Such as Food Matters brand)
- 1 tsp ground flaxseed
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
- 2 handfuls baby spinach
- 1 cup Coconut Water
- Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender. Blend on high, pausing to wipe down the sides of the blender as necessary, pour, and enjoy!
